Common Thread is a student-led service organization at Miami University dedicated to creating comfort and connection through handmade tie blankets for hospice patients at Cleveland Clinic Akron General.
Our mission is to bring warmth, dignity, and a sense of care to individuals at the end of life, while fostering a compassionate, community-minded space for students. We meet regularly to make blankets, build friendships, and partner with local organizations to support our mission. No sewing skills required, just a willingness to make a difference, one knot at a time.

Our mission is to bridge the gender gap in technology by encouraging and empowering young women to pursue careers in computing. Our club is open to all students, regardless of gender, who have some background in coding. While prior experience with Python is preferred (since it is the language we teach), it is not a requirement. We welcome individuals who are eager to learn, contribute, and stay engaged in our mission!

We host a free pancake breakfast on a beautiful October morning and invite participants to donate to the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Every year, we strive to serve as many pancakes as possible to hundreds of members of both the Miami and Oxford communities, while enjoying entertainment from around the area. We are a Team Fox event that is supported by the Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF). However, our event survives on donations. Although our corporate sponsorship footprint continues to grow, the majority of our donations come from friends and family who also have a passion for fighting this disease. We strive to create a friendly environment that highlights the joys of philanthropy. Our mission is simple: we want to encourage others to get educated about Parkinson’s and help fight for a cure through charitable donations and actions.

The Social Work Club will provide a welcoming environment for all students who are either Social Work majors, curious about the field, or in a related major. The club will engage students through building community, education, and hands-on experiences that include volunteerism and advocacy. SACNAS chapters are a powerful and inclusive source of community that provides local and regional
support for college students and professionals to succeed in STEM. Collectively, our chapters are the
on-the-ground ambassadors behind SACNAS' movement to achieve true diversity in STEM.

Membership Benefits
Members must have an active SACNAS membership and attend at least 50% of chapter activities to
be in good standing. Members in good standing have voting rights and be eligible for financial support from the chapter.
Benefits include but are not limited to financial support to attend and present at the annual SACNAS conference, poster printing, access to guest STEM speakers, scholarship network, access to grant writing workshops, application workshops (graduate schools, medical schools, scholarships etc.), research journal club, and a fun, inclusive environment!

The Alexander Hamilton Society (AHS) is an independent, non-partisan, not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting constructive debate on basic principles and contemporary issues on foreign, economic, and national security policy of the United States. Our Mission is to engage with people about Foreign Policy, political developments globally, and to discuss the role of the United States of America in this ever changing global world. AHS is a membership organization—not a think tank or an advocacy group. We seek to build a national network of outstanding students, faculty, and professionals, we sponsor debates at colleges and universities, as well as in major cities, and provide other opportunities for our members to flourish intellectually and professionally. Members of the Alexander Hamilton Society receive many benefits for becoming members. They have the ability to network with professionals from the D.C. area and across the country multiple times a semester. While also having these professionals from the public and private sector give their insights on the current state of a political situation or conflict, and providing their opinions on the U.S. approach to these situations. We are the one stop shop for all things foreign policy, international relations, and geopolitics! New members will get to meet with a like minded group of people who wish to learn, discuss, and debate with one another about the current flashpoints and disputes we see in the world along with where America's role and responsibilities lay.
