Nearly 40 campus offices are ready to welcome you to Miami and talk about the support, resources, and opportunities they provide. In addition to learning about resources, students can collect stickers from resource fair tables, affix the stickers to the prize drawing form in the resource fair card, and enter to win prizes at tonight's evening sessions.

Academic College Meetings/Lunch

Follow your student's individualized schedule during this time. Students will have an academic college meeting based on their major/program at either 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. and should go to lunch oppositite their academic college meeting. Meet leaders in your academic college and prepare for your academic advising workshop. Students and families will attend the Academic College Meeting for the student's major. Students interested in business or creative arts who were not admitted directly to those colleges should attend the Academic College Meeting for the major listed on their name tag, and attend the Academic Exploration session (at 5:15 p.m.) for business or creative arts to learn about options to apply for your intended major. Career Development in the First Year

The Center for Career Exploration and Success offers programs and services to students beginning their first day on campus. We focus on what college graduates need to know about the future of work in our rapidly changing world. We offer career trips, conferences and career panels in addition to mock interviews, career advising and webinars. Our office collaborates with faculty, staff, employers and parents to grow Miami's Career Community and increase student opportunities for success. All students are assigned a career advisor and can join a Career Cluster(s) to receive career information based on their interests. Whether it is career assessments to help determine major and career paths, or assistance with interviewing, resumes and networking, we provide students the tools and knowledge to make the best possible decisions that lead to successful careers.

Academic College Meetings/Lunch

Follow your student's individualized schedule during this time. Students will have an academic college meeting based on their major/program at either 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. and should go to lunch oppositite their academic college meeting. Meet leaders in your academic college and prepare for your academic advising workshop. Students and families will attend the Academic College Meeting for the student's major. Students interested in business or creative arts who were not admitted directly to those colleges should attend the Academic College Meeting for the major listed on their name tag, and attend the Academic Exploration session (at 5:15 p.m.) for business or creative arts to learn about options to apply for your intended major. Opposite your academic college meeting, enjoy lunch in the Western Dining Commons.Academic College Meetings at 12p.m.: Farmer School of Business, College of Engineering and Computing, Nursing, Exploratory Studies.
