Student Media (SM) are student-run publications and media outlets operating under the Council of Student Media Organizations (COSMOS). These organizations produce journalistic, broadcast, or digital content and maintain editorial independence within university policy parameters.

Mission
Inklings Arts and Letters is a magazine of visual art and creative writing by and for Miami University students. We publish work that pushes formal boundaries and reflects the diversity of perspectives in this campus’ vibrant creative community. We accept photography, painting, sculpture, collage, digital art, poetry, short stories, creative nonfiction, multimedia works, and every amalgam in between.

Students of any major can submit their work during our fall or spring submission periods. If you are interested in joining our staff, please fill out this form. Our staff meets weekly to review anonymous submissions and evaluate their form and content strengths.

A cherished handful of Inklings’ favorite things: zines, the experimental, teeth, the moon. We’ve also had a hankering for both collage and collaborative art events recently, which we don’t see fading any time soon.

Every semester, we host a full-moon reading and an issue release party at Kofenya (another old Inklings favorite!). Inklings not only offers experience in collaborating on a large-scale publishing project but brings together an eclectic community of strange and wonderful creatives. Whether a staff member, a contributor, or an attendee, Inklings is delighted to bump elbows with you!

Mission
WMSR Redhawk Radio is Miami University’s only (exclusively student-run) radio station. We’re broadcasting all hours of the day; from indie rock to rap to songs we’ve overheard at frat parties, our station plays anything and everything. We also produce podcasts and playlists generated by our team of creative students, representing perspectives and tastes from across Miami’s campus.
Check out our website for unique articles presenting a variety of topics and genres, spanning from pop-culture to concerts to Miami’s sports teams’ latest games. We’re always looking for show and podcast hosts, video creators, and new writers in any department: music, sports, film, and more.

Mission
The Femellectual (lovingly dubbed the fem.) is an annual arts & literary publication which strives to center, amplify, and uplift the voices of people who have been devalued because of who they are. We hope to create a safe and secure space in which every individual can share the most beautiful and raw versions of themselves. We publish work that showcases the strength and resilience of each diverse group and the importance of unity. Initially created as a newsletter in the Miami University Women’s Center in 2009, the fem. has since grown into a zine, then to a full-fledged literary publication.

Mission
UP is a student organization consisting of over 100 Miami University Students led by a team of 14 Directors to create a F/W Issue and S/S Issue. The Editor-In-Chief, Creative Director, and Publisher work together to lead the organization and provide creative direction in all content produced.

Throughout the year, UP staff writers, print photographers, print stylists, makeup artists, & hairstylists work together to create three print issues. At the same time, the Blog Team, Social Media Team, & Videography Team work to create constant written content on UP's blog, create visual content on UP's social media platforms and produce behind-the-scenes video content on UP's YouTube. The Event Planning Team, Marketing Team, and Communications Team work to create & organize events, market UP's issues & events, & to network on campus as well as to companies and alumni outside of Oxford
