Active Minds is a national organization that is determined to reduce the stigma and change the conversation about mental health and illness on college campuses. Active Minds at Miami holds and participates in many events to increase awareness about mental illness. These events include the Out of Darkness Walk, Stress Less Week, Be Well Fair, Pastries and Paint Night, and many more. We hold many partnerships with other groups and organizations such as Miami Hope. We meet every Thursday, 6:30-7:30, in Harrison Hall Room 116.

We also offer hands-on experiences through consulting projects for small student-run businesses and our signature Pop-Up Shop. Welcome to the world of Aerial Arts! Whether this is your first time flying or you are an experienced aerialist, we would love to have you in the organization! This club is focused on helping members learn more about aerial arts in general, as well as building skills, strength, and confidence. Members will learn climbing, wrapping, inverting, locks, and drops, either through the use of online tutorials or assistance from other team members.

The American Conservation Coalition is changing the narrative on environmental discussions by promoting a mix of market-based, pro-business, and limited-government environmentalism in legislatures, college campuses, the political arena, and beyond. The Miami Branch of the American Conservation Coalition will specifically do these things on campus to prepare students with the ability and knowledge to act on environmental issues within their values, whether that be on the political spectrum, through legislation, service, or in any way connected to their personal goals. Our intended methods of action include but are not limited to; volunteer activities, educational seminars, social campaign events, creative outreach, and collaboration with other student organizations that align with our values. We will do all this for the protection of our environment so that current and future generations may enjoy a clean Earth without having to deviate from their desired lifestyle.
